| Welcome |
The
Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come to pass, leaving memories that
become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten
when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the
Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose. .
.
It is upon that wind that you are born into the world of man. In this
world, as in worlds past, the Great Lord of the Dark has laid claim
upon the lands of the free. As a black tide, he shall be bourne as the
rider upon the storm, his minions lifting his countenance upon the
world. Yet in this turning of the wheel the Dragon has yet to be reborn
and only the blood of life is left to be the collected price for the
freedom of man.
Here, in the face of the shadow rising, your journey begins at the Sea
of Storms!

| Sanderson's Memory |
In case folks haven't heard yet, Tor has announced who will be picking up the final
book in the Wheel of Time series. Brandon Sanderson has been named as the author
who
will finish where Robert Jordan started. It's nice to see that Tor has opted to
have someone actually write A Memory of Light and give them full credit for
that, instead of have them ghostwrite it under RJ's name.
Sanderson is a relative newcommer to the fantasy scene, though he has several books
published by Tor. Among these is the critically aclaimed Mistborn series,
the last of which will be published early in the coming year. You can find out
more information about Sanderson at his website: BrandonSanderson.com

| Google Apps and tsosmud.org Email Addresses! |
|
Over the last week or two we've been working hard to set up some interesting new features here at TSoS.
The staff is pleased to announce both new in-game updates, as well as some other things relating to our
larger footprint here on the Internet. Dominic and Luthien have been working on getting a TSoS branch of
Google Apps up and running. Players who request it will now be able to have their own customized TSoS/Google
start page, calender, GoogleTalk presence, access to shared documents, and also their very own email! This
last one is perhaps most exciting, as players will have 2GB of email space (think Gmail), with their own
character name as the address. Interested in having a yourcharactername@tsosmud.org email address to direct all your
MUD related (or all of your) emails to (and access to the
rest)?
Talk to Luthien and he can help you out.
